Kohler continues to be at the forefront of smart home technology. The 144-year old company has given a new meaning to singing in the bathroom, whether in front of mirrors or showers.

Kohler has unveiled the KohlerKonnect app, which combines voice and touch controls to control its line of smart toilets, showers, faucets and mirrors. The app is set to be released this spring, and it works with Amazon Alexa. Kohler intends to integrate the app with Apple’s HomeKit as well as Google Home.

Kohler Konnect allows for multiple functions, such as dimming the lights or listening bass-rich music through Verdera Voice Lighted Mirror. Alexa can even tell you jokes while you are getting ready for the day. A motion-activated light is also included in the mirror.

Alexa and Kohler Konnect turn the DTV+ shower of Kohler into a personal cleansing system by allowing users to pre-program showering times and temperature settings. The app also pairs with Kohler Numi intelligent toilets for a personal cleansing experience.

The Sensate Faucet in the kitchen can help by dispensing water on command. It will do so in ounces or cups, gallons etc. Kohler Konnect tracks water consumption.
